Aims and Objectives
The Diploma in Business Administration provides students with foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary for a successful career in the business sector. This program covers various aspects of business operations, management principles, and organizational behavior, equipping graduates with the tools to thrive in a competitive environment.

Course Duration: 10 Months
Entry Requirements:
- Minimum of 17 years of age.
- Minimally a “C6” grade in the GCE ‘O’ Level Examination English Language or equivalent.
- Minimally 1 “C6” grade in the GCE ‘O’ Level Examination.
- Applicants lacking English proficiency must successfully complete the Addison Institute English Proficiency Placement Test before admission.
Recognition of Prior Learning( RPL)
Exemptions may be granted to students who show proof of prior learning in certain modules. This is subject to verification and approval by the Academic Board.

Program Synopsis
International Business
This module aims to explain the key principles of International Business and assess the effects of globalization, including its advantages and disadvantages, with Singapore as a case study. It emphasizes the significant role of culture in International Business, particularly its influence on human resources, marketing, and B2B relationships, while also considering ethical issues and social responsibility.
E-Commerce
This module provides a comprehensive understanding of e-commerce, including business planning, model selection, funding options, legal requirements, and technical needs for starting and managing online businesses. Students will learn about e-commerce infrastructure, such as Internet, web, and mobile platforms.
Human Resource
The objective of this module is to provide students with a thorough understanding of the importance of Human Resources and Personnel Management in the staffing function within a work environment. It aims to highlight how effective Human Resources practices contribute to the overall success of an organization by ensuring that the right talent is recruited, developed, and retained.
Management Information Applications
This module aims to teach students the basics of using IT in business operations and decision-making. It covers how technology supports business functions, the importance of security management to protect data, and how to develop effective information management systems. By the end, students will understand how IT helps businesses operate efficiently and make smart decisions.
Principles of Marketing
This module provides students with a solid understanding of key marketing concepts and how they are applied in real-world business. It covers topics like customer needs, market segmentation, targeting, branding, and digital marketing. Students will also learn about consumer behavior and how to develop effective marketing strategies. By the end of the module, they will be equipped to apply these concepts to help businesses succeed and meet customer needs.
Business Communication
This module provides students with essential skills in business communication, networking, and negotiation. It covers effective communication for emails, reports, presentations, and meetings, along with strategies to build professional relationships through networking and social platforms. Students will also learn key negotiation techniques to prepare for discussions, understand different styles, and achieve win-win outcomes, equipping them to succeed in business environments.
Principles of Management
This module teaches students the importance of the traditional Functional Approach to Management, which forms the foundation of management studies. It covers key management functions such as planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, and how they work together to achieve goals. Students will learn how managers coordinate resources, make decisions, and guide teams effectively. The module also shows how these principles apply to both traditional and modern businesses, helping students develop practical management skills for various industries.
Accounting
This module teaches students how to manage accounts, covering key topics like control and audits, bookkeeping, and computerized accounting systems. Students will learn to maintain accurate financial records, comply with regulations, and implement internal controls to protect assets. The course includes both manual and automated bookkeeping techniques, helping students develop skills in recording transactions and preparing financial statements. Additionally, it highlights how accounting software can enhance efficiency and accuracy. By the end of the module, students will have the knowledge and skills to manage accounts effectively in real-world business settings.
Assessments and Award
Each subject will be formally assessed through examinations, assignments, and class participation. Students must attend at least 75% of the classes to qualify for the examinations.
Those who successfully complete all module examinations will be awarded the Addison Institute Diploma in Hospitality Management.
Students granted exemptions for modules under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) at the time of admission will be required to complete a Term Project in order to graduate.
Course Intake
Intakes are available every month throughout the year, before the start of a new module.

1. Registration Fee: *$150 (Inclusive of ID card and Uniform)
2. Course Fee: *$3420.00 (GST Included) Payments are split into 12 monthly payments of *$285/month.
